The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers Announces Business Development and Growth Seminar Series

NAJA announced the schedule for an important business focused webinar series developed specifically for gem and jewelry appraisers. The series consists of four separate sessions concentrating on how to form, structure, market and grow a successful appraisal practice.

The series themes include:
· Key Considerations to Business, scheduled for May 8, 2021;
· The Nuts and Bolt of Service, Marketing and Success, scheduled for July 10, 2021;
· Evaluate and Reevaluate: What’s Working and What’s Not, scheduled for November 13, 2021
· Taking It to The Next Level, will be held in early 2022. Each of the four sessions will be from 12:00 to 4:00 PM EST (NY).

In announcing the program, NAJA Executive Director, Gail Brett Levine stated, “A core principle of the NAJA is to ensure that gem and jewelry appraisers are equipped with the tools they need to succeed professionally. This program was carefully constructed with that in mind.” The NAJA Business Seminar Series will assist appraisers achieve their goals. “We’re going to explore the dos and don’ts of structuring a business, bookkeeping and record keeping, defining the scope of your practice, marketing your services and of course appraising!”

Confirmed presenters include: Brian Kathenes, ISA CAPP; Corporate Attorney Amy Lynn Lonergan; Attorney Steven Pollack, specializing in insurance Law; Accountant Lynne Marcus, CPA, CFP; Ted Irwin, Northwest Gemological laboratory; Martin Fuller, Fuller & Associates; Jill Burgum, Senior Director of Fine Jewelry for Heritage Auctions; Stuart Robertson, Gemworld; Marketing consultant Kate Donovan; Sherlene Bradbury, Vice Chair of Education, NAJA; Marketing strategist Jennifer Heebner; and much more!

Levine stated, “I’m very pleased with the depth of accomplished professionals contributing to this program. Whether a new entrant to the field or a seasoned professional, this is for you!” Attendees will invest a total of 16 hours over the course the four dates to gain practical benefits they’ll rely on for many years to come.
