It has become a tradition for Royal Chain to release a special gold collection every year, that coincides with the summer jewelry show season that starts in Las Vegas. This year, that tradition was disrupted by the pandemic. But in June, after reopening, Royal Chain and their partner retailers recorded unprecedented gold demand and strong sales. As a result, they are releasing a new gold collection, albeit slightly delayed, this month. The theme of the collection is a nod to the 1920’s. The ROARING 20’S COLLECTION, as it’s called, came about when creative director, Phillip Gabriel Maroof, did some research into the 1920’s. What he found was that the 1920’s had some remarkable similarities to today.
100 years ago, the world was still reeling from the global pandemic, the Spanish flu of 1918. Politically, the country was divided over women’s right to vote. What ensued for most of the rest of the decade was years of social change, and economic prosperity. This was the age of The Great Gatsby and Jazz.
This collection pays homage to the modern lines and clean styling of the 1920’s with easy to wear pieces that could similarly relate to the 20’s flapper girl or the work at home ladies of today. Think easy to wear lightweight necklaces, and Art Deco cuffs and earrings. Most of the collection is made in Italy, in an effort to help bring Italian gold artisans back to work. All items are available for immediate delivery to retailers for the holiday season.
