DAVID YURMAN HEADLINES EVENT SCHEDULE AT JCK TUCSONThe breathtaking JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa will provide the backdrop for the jewelry industry’s winter oasis, JCK Tucson, at the end of the month. Taking place Wednesday, January 31 - Saturday, February 3, 2018 alongside Tucson Gem Weeks, JCK Tucson provides a relaxing, immersive business experience. Early registration tracking the Show’s buyer attendance is set for double digit growth over last year. The vendor lineup includes a curated group of exceptional designers (Aaron Henry, Alex Sepkus, Adel Chefridi, Alishan, Suzy Landa and many more) alongside the necessities of Tucson Gem Week (gemstones, mountings, etc.). Personal enrichment and inspiration are plentiful as JCK Tucson announces robust schedule of events including headliner David Yurman. JCK Tucson will welcome America’s premier jewelry designer David Yurman for a Fireside Chat on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 10:00am. David will discuss the evolution of the brand and staying relevant in today's retail environment. With limited seating, the event is by invitation and requires an RSVP, more details can be found on the JCK Tucson website. Additional events taking place throughout the week, open to all JCK Tucson badge holders, will include: Fireside Chats with Jennifer Shaheen, CEO, The Technology Therapy Group. Jennifer is a national presenter and moderator for Entrepreneur and SCORE, the nation’s most valuable resource for small business, as well as a recurring guest on MSNBC’s “Your Business”. Her sessions will include the following topics: • Mobile Marketing | Wednesday, January 31—11:00am-11:45am In 2017 Cyber Monday saw the highest mobile sales in US history at $2 Billion. Mobile is becoming the first touch point for reaching new customers and staying connected to existing customers. Attendees will learn what tools to use to build mobile reach and what customers expect when they are engaging with your business via a mobile device. • Social Media | Thursday, February 1— 11:00am –11:45am Is Facebook dead? Is Wechat on the rise? Is Instagram really the only place to reach millennials? Do social ads really work? During this interactive session, attendees will discuss the rise and fall of each social platform, the importance of real photos & videos, and the truth about social advertising. • Storytelling in the Marketplace | Friday, February 2—11:00am – 11:45am Stories build relationships, they teach us lessons and they inspire action. So why do so many business shy away from Storytelling? The chat will feature Caitlin Royal, Garnish, John Easley, Carbon 6, Baiyang Qiu, Baiyang Qiu Jewelry and Moderator Victoria Gomelsky, JCK Magazine. • Gems After Dark | Thursday, February 1—6:00pm – 8:00pm Take in the beauty of the desert while uniting with industry colleagues under the stars at the JW Marriott’s Ania Lawn Terrace. Co-hosted with Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA), American Gem Society’s Young Titleholders and Gen-Next. • Design Challenge | Friday, February 2-1:00pm - 2:00pm Honoring jewelry designers who push the boundaries of jewelry design by thinking outbox and take pride in materials and craftsmanship. Finalists will make their pitches as JCK Tucson, in partnership with Uncommon Goods and Worthmore Jewelers, announce the winners in their respective categories. • Morning Yoga | Thursday, February 1 and Friday, February 2, 7:30am Start your day by rejuvenating your mind and body surrounded by the natural beauty and serenity of the Sonoran Desert. *$10 mandatory donation per session to be paid the day of.
