UN I CREATION announced the launch of the new Girl Up Jewelry Collection by Hal Rubenstein in partnership with Girl Up, a leadership development initiative founded by the United Nations Foundation that works to advance gender equality worldwide. In addition to a six-figure annual corporate contribution to Girl Up, UNI CREATION is also pledged 5% of all sales of the jewelry to support Girl Up’s leadership development programs – engaging, training and mobilizing girls around the world to take action for global gender equality.
The new line is specifically designed with Gen Z and Millennial consumers in mind, segments of the population rarely targeted by the jewelry industry. In creating pieces for the Girl Up Collection, Rubenstein looked to the Girl Up girl leaders for inspiration. The all-new jewelry line is composed of two collections, one in fine silver and another in yellow and rose gold, with retail prices ranging from $35 - $900. The contemporary styles are optimized for female self-purchasing and gifting, and they incorporate pink and blue sapphires, as well as ethically sourced diamonds and hand-cut beads in ruby, sapphire, opal, labradorite, and moonstone.
“Unlike clothing and accessories, fine jewelry immediately becomes an indispensable constant in our lives, a repository of lasting memories," said Hal Rubenstein, Creative Director. "What's so exciting about the Girl Up Collection's contemporary design is the way we've linked jewelry to advocacy, giving women and men the opportunity to wear their cause as they take action for global gender equity.”
The designs interpret iconic Girl Up symbols – the dove for peace, the laurel leaf representing both the foundation logo and Olympic champions, the globe for unity, the Fearless Girl and of course, the stars because that is what Gen Z and Millennial women are aiming for. The
jewelry is easy to wear and fun to collect and layer. Beaded necklaces and bracelets offer options for collecting add-on charms and curating an individualized jewelry story. Made to be worn every day, the collections appeal to women of all ages who seek a fresh personal style of jewelry that is more than just an accessory.
The wholesale line is available for distribution, including potential for exclusive collections with strategic retail partnerships. Uni Creations offers full retailer support with marketing materials, videos, testimonials, packaging, displays and point-of-sale assets. In addition, state-of-the-art virtual “try on” technology can be incorporated into retail partner websites, both mobile and desktop, to build buzz on social media and encourage sales.
Ashit Parikh, President and CEO of Uni Creation commented, “Every woman on this earth is unique, unlike any other, and we hope each of them finds a way to wear a piece of our jewelry that reflects and celebrates her one-of-a-kind essence. At UNI CREATION, we stand with every girl, everywhere, as a force for global good. We affirm the Girl Up principle that when girls rise, we all rise.”
