JIS Update on JIS Miami

Hurricane Irma has now passed through Florida and is making its way North at the time of this message. The JIS Team is working with authorities in Miami Beach and South Florida to evaluate the potential impact of any damage that may have occurred. JIS staff members are full time residents of South Florida and have weathered Hurricane Irma first hand. We will continue to work around the clock with the authorities to get updates and to share the FACTS with you as soon as possible.

At this time, we have been given the following information:

1. First responders are working to fully clear roads and make the city safe for the return of those that evacuated.

2. The city of Miami Beach currently has restricted access until Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 12:00 PM.

3. There are no passenger flights scheduled for Monday. However, some airlines will begin flying personnel and crew members to Miami tomorrow in preparation for flights to resume as soon as possible.

4. There has been no change to the JIS Miami October 2017 Show schedule at this time.

Our thoughts remain all of those affected by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey in this difficult time.
