Jewelers for Children has announced they have made a $ 10,000 donation to Save the Children to support efforts in the devastated areas following Hurricane Harvey.
“Everyone has been overwhelmed with the news from the effected region and our board felt it was very important for JFC to contribute to the relief efforts. Our thoughts are with all of the people by this horrible tragedy, particularly those that are part of our industry family. Providing financial assistance from the industry’s charity was an easy decision.” Said Dennis Ulrich, JFC Chairman.
Jewelers for Children, whose mission is to provide support to charities that primarily benefit children, chose Save the Children to receive their support after working with them in the past on a number of disaster relief responses. Save the Children’s concentration on helping children and their families recover as quickly as possible and return to a more normal way of life clearly meets with the mission of the charity.
Including the contribution to the Save the Children, JFC has previously announced $ 2.2 million in support to their legacy charities this year.
