Mark Henry is pleased to announce the launch of a new designer collection, Laura Medine fine jewelry. Officially launched in June 2013 at the JCK Trade Show in Las Vegas, Laura Medine’selegant and timeless collection of handmade, one of a kind pieces are now available for sale to consumers.
Having grown up in Italy, Laura Medine was instilled with a deeply rooted passion and love for fashion which she shares with her family. Her daughter Leandra Medine, is the brains behind the fashion blog Man Repeller and her son Haim Medine, recently launched his own collection of edgy and sophisticated fine jewellery, Khai Khai.
Laura Medine first sparked her untapped passion to get fully immersed in the design aspect of the jewelry business in the 1980s when she was merchandizing and sourcing gold jewelery imported from Italy and Turkey. In 2010, after taking a sabbatical to start her family, Medine began designing high end jewelry for the Mark Henry collection, an exclusive Alexandrite collection. This eventually led to a desire to launch her own line of fine jewelry and allow her to go beyond the boundaries and challenge her creativity.
The Laura Medine Collection is inspired by the state of wellbeing and nature which are expressed through her elegant and romantic designs. Each hand made piece is designed around a central moonstone and combined with 18K gold with diamond and Alexandrite accents that showcase the simple beauty of the stone. The collection offers an extensive assortment of feminine rings, pendants, necklaces, earrings and bangles.
Each themed collection within the line is inspired by the simple, natural beauties of life. In the ‘Celestial’ collection, you can find beautifully selected moonstones that are designed to resemble the sun, moon and stars. ‘Flora’ and ‘Fauna’ are two other collections that are linked to nature through elements founds in a garden such as tulips, flowers, butterflies and other types of insects.
“When I am designing, I have a woman much like myself in mind; someone who is just becoming a mother and raising her young family, a woman who is overly immersed in her career, an adventurous woman looking to travel the world and experience the beauties of life and what it has to offer,” says Medine. “The key ingredient to the success of my designs is that I strive to craft jewelry that is practical, elegant and fashionable all at once.”
The Laura Medine Collection ranges from $1,500-$25,000 and is available at Five Story and London Jewellers.
