WJA’s Jewelry Night In Takes Place September 10

The Women's Jewelry Association will host its annual fall networking event – renamed “WJA Jewelry Night In” – at 7 p.m. EDT on September 10th. Instead of the traditional event, where each WJA chapter celebrates locally and in-person, the gathering will be virtual.

Also in September, WJA will celebrate its Member Appreciation Month, when all professionals in the jewelry and watch industries can receive 25% off new memberships and 10% off membership renewal.

This year, in lieu of individual guest speakers at each chapter’s gathering, WJA members across North America and abroad will gather online to hear an address by WJA Guest of Honor Caryl Capeci, CEO of Chow Tai Fook North America. Capeci oversees its diamond jewelry brands, Hearts On Fire (HOF) and Memoire, as well as emerging specialty collections for the North American market. She will share her leadership journey, plus her belief in community and mentorship as keys to her success.

Capeci, who is also a 2018 WJA Visionary Award winner and a member of WJA’s Women’s Executive Leadership Forum, serves on the boards of Diamonds Do Good, the American Gem Society, and Jewelers of America. She is also a member of Twenty-Four Karat Club of the City of New York. Capeci was instrumental in spearheading an important partnership between HOF and Girls, Inc., a national organization that is committed to empowering young girls to be strong, smart, and bold.

During WJA Jewelry Night In, attendees will also learn about the future of WJA programming and the wide reach of its membership. The evening will conclude with individual chapter breakout sessions, to give WJA members and prospective members a chance to connect with each other on a local level, via Zoom.

“WJA celebrates Jewelry Night In with the tagline: ‘One Night, One Community, One Mission,’” says WJA Executive Director Jennifer Markas. “2020 marks WJA’s 37th year since the founding of our organization. Over this time, WJA helped thousands of women reach new heights in their careers. Being part of a local chapter connects you to an international organization that gives you the tools and access to succeed professionally, whether through online networking, virtual education, or mentorship. Please join us!”
