AGS Announces A Virtual Conclave Experience

The American Gem Society (AGS) is pleased to announce its first-ever virtual conference, Connect. Engage. Learn: A Virtual Conclave Experience, April 27-28, 2020. The conference will be free to all AGS members.

“I would very much like to thank our sponsors: Jewelers Mutual Insurance Group, Wells Fargo, and GIA. Their generosity has made this virtual experience possible for the AGS community,” said Katherine Bodoh, CEO of the American Gem Society and AGS Laboratories. “It is because of them that we are able to offer this experience to our members at no cost. I’m very grateful.”

This year’s programming will feature up to eight hours of education, featuring a mix of panel discussions and industry speakers, covering topics such as:
· Corporate Social Responsibility: How Giving Back Adds Up,”
· The Art of Storytelling: The Future of Retail 2.0
· The Art of Personal Trade
· 2020 Retail and Shopping Trends
· as well as other sessions covering marketing, sales, and business management.

“When we realized we couldn’t give our members the live Conclave experience this year, we knew we wanted to provide something in the virtual space,” said Alexis Padis, Chair of the Conclave Subcommittee. “We’re giving it the Conclave

treatment…on your screen. We’re even featuring some of the elements from our in-person Conclave, such as the annual State of the AGS video, and while we may not have our traditional President’s Party, we will have a video Dance Party! It’s going to be fun, lively, and a virtual experience our members will always remember.”

American Gem Society members can register at ags.org/VirtualConclave.
