Suggestions and advice to help jewelers engage new customers, improve store management, and more
BriteCo, an appraisal and insurance technology company, has introduced a new online resource hub at brite.co/hub to help jewelers stay up-to-date on appraisal and jewelry insurance trends, with advice on how to improve their store management and marketing.
“With more than 1,700 retail jewelers already signed up to use BriteCo’s free appraisal software, we’ve responded to numerous requests from store owners and managers to provide information that helps them improve their business practices,” according to BriteCo CEO Dustin Lemick.
Organized in four categories: Diamonds & Gemstones, Customer Engagement, Store Management, and Jewelry Care & Insurance, the BriteCo Resource Hub presents original research, blog posts, news articles, retail marketing materials, and more. Popular Hub content includes success stories about how jewelers across the US are using BriteCo in their own stores, guides to updating a jewelry store website and building a stellar internet presence, and resources for jewelers to share with their customers, including a printable jewelry care guide.
Free to qualified jewelers, the BriteCo appraisal software provides retail jewelers with intuitive self-guided screens to enter key information, include photos, and get a recommended range for appraised value based on market data. Once the jeweler finalizes an appraised value, the customer receives an email with a customized electronic copy of the appraisal for their records.
“Most appraisals using the BriteCo appraisal software can be completed in five minutes,” according to BriteCo CEO Dustin Lemick, a third-generation jeweler. “With partner jewelers creating tens of thousands of appraisals this past year, our platform is proven to save huge amounts of time and effort while improving the customer’s experience at retail.”
When the appraisal is finalized, BriteCo sends an email or text directly to the customer offering replacement insurance coverage. The customer clicks a link in the message, fills out a short application on their phone or other device, and gets an exact quote based on their piece’s appraised value. Paying by credit or debit card, the customer is insured instantly.
Licensed to sell jewelry and watch insurance in all 50 states and backed by an AM Best A rated global insurance carrier, BriteCo is getting an enthusiastic reception among hundreds of independent retail jewelers across the country.
