New Silver Initiative Salutes Military Vets

The Silver Promotion Service (SPS) has partnered with select Savor Silver brands in organizing a special silver jewelry collection to benefit the Jewelers for Veterans Foundation (J4V), an industry organization dedicated to connecting US Military Veterans with employment, training, and education within the jewelry industry. The collection, titled ‘Silver Salutes the Service’, currently includes jewelry by ARIVA Living in Fine Jewelry, Cynthia Gale Jewelry, Frederic Duclos, Phillip Gavriel, Rotenier, The Samuel B. Collection, and Thistle & Bee.

Each brand has either designed special pieces or dedicated patriotic themed jewelry from their existing collections that will be available to view at the forthcoming JCK Las Vegas show. The collection was formed to introduce a cause related shopping event at retail to be held during key holidays throughout the year such as Veterans Day, Armed Forced Day, or Memorial Day. The SPS and J4V have collaborated to create a package of marketing collateral to support retailers that carry these pieces in their stores including special hang tags, counter cards, consumer literature, and digital materials.

Todd Wolleman, Jewelers for Veterans President commented, “The Jewelers for Veterans Foundation is proud to be allied with the Silver Promotion Service for this project and many to come in the future. It is a natural partnership that we hope will flourish over time and progress into meaningful contributions to our stated goal of helping veterans find gainful employment.”

The Silver Promotion Service was introduced in 2008 by the Silver Institute. The objective of the SPS is to develop and implement programs designed to enhance the image of and stimulate demand for silver jewelry in major international markets.
